This issue takes place after the presumed deaths of Reed and Sue Richards, along with the Future Foundation. The issue begins with The Thing, also known as Ben Grimm, buying cats for his girlfriend while Johnny Storm enjoys watching sports with his friends. Suddenly, a Fantastic Four signal appears in the sky, and Johnny rushes off to investigate, leaving The Thing feeling sad for his missing friends.
When Johnny reaches the signal, he discovers that it was actually two kids who lit it up for no reason. Meanwhile, The Thing reminisces about the adventurous universe trip he took with Reed, Sue Richards, and their two kids.
After many days, The Thing finally decides to propose to his girlfriend and call Johnny for his wedding. However, Johnny gets angry with him as he still believes that Reed is out there, trying to find his way back to Earth.
As The Thing gets married, a strange number 4 appears in the sky. The question arises, who made this signal? Was it Reed and Sue Richards, or was it someone else? We will have to wait for the next issue to find out.
Before the issue comes to an end, we see Doomstadt, the capital of Latveria, where an intruder named Zora Vukovic is caught by Doctor Doom and his robots. Zora claims to be the proud daughter of Doomstadt and only wants Doom to be her and her people's savior.
